Fire Guts Dorm in Gunung Sahari Selatan

Fire destroyed a two-story dorm located at Jalan Kran 3, RT 14/05, Gunung Sahari Selatan Urban Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (2/25), around 11.40 AM. There was no casualty reported in the incident, and its loss reached hundreds of millions rupiah.

I had no time to evacuate my valuables, including important documents

Based on the information gathered, the blaze came out from second floor of the dorm and also burned first floor. Fortunately, the building was empty when the incident happened.

Lilis (21), a dorm owner who was in her friend's house immediately rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, she did not have time to save her valuables. 

Fire in Jatinegara, Three People Injured

"I had no time to evacuate my valuables, including important documents," she told.

Head of Kemayoran Sub-District's Fire and Rescue Handling Unit, Unggul Wibowo suspected as many as 13 fire trucks sent to the scene. "Such incident is triggered by electricity short-circuit. Certainly, we managed to control the situation," he expressed.
